Ahead of the European Week for Safety and Health at Work running from 24th to 28th October 2005, the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work, based in Bilbao, has launched its new portal giving a single access point to its online resources. You may need to update your bookmarks as the address for the Agency's new site is now http://osha.eu.int. The menu on the left gives easy access to a wide selection of material allowing information seekers to approach their search in a number of different ways. You can for example look for information relating to specific types of risk, industry sector or groups of people. Alternatively you may want examples of good practice, legislation, statistics or publications. You can set personal preferences to customise the site. Choose your preferred languages, topics and countries to display the information you most want in the way that is most useful. The site also makes it easy to navigate through drop down menus to related national sites and the sites of international organisations working in this area. The European Week campaign in October will focus on noise at work and a specific site supporting the event has been developed at http://ew2005.osha.eu.int/, also accessible as a link from the portal. The site mirrors the structure of the portal making it simple navigate and giving cohesion to the overall design. |
