New law seeks to limit dumping of e-waste

On 13 August 2012 new rules took effect, under which at least 85% of electrical and electronic waste generated in the European Union will have to be recycled by 2020.

The new provisions are arising out of Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive dated back to 2002 and updated in July 2012.
