Summary: Communication published by the European Commission on 15 September 2021, setting out the framework, core principles and key actions driving the New European Bauhaus. Further information: The New European Bauhaus brings a cultural and creative dimension to the European Green Deal, aiming to demonstrate how sustainable innovation offers tangible, positive experiences in daily life across the European Union (EU). The project aims at accelerating the transformation of various economic sectors in order to provide access to all citizens to goods that are circular and less carbon intensive. This Communication sets out the concept of theĀ New European Bauhaus, based on the findings from the co-design phase and lays out the next steps. This includes a number of policy actions and funding possibilities. The Communication was alongside the annualĀ State of the European Union (SOTEU) address. |
