Netherlands: Press Release: Interest on national debt stable

In 2004 the State will pay about 9.8 billion euros in interest on the national debt. This means that interest charges will be about the same as in 2003. As a result of sluggish economic growth and the projected budget deficit, the national debt as a percentage of GDP is expected to increase again for the first time since 1993
