Netherlands: Press Release: Commission proposal marks start of negotiations on multiannual budget

Now that the European Commission has presented its proposals on the multiannual budget 2007-2013, the negotiations in the Council can start. Finance minister Zalm and European Affairs minister Nicolai have taken notice of the proposals and during the Dutch presidency they will try to create a basis for the discussions.
