NATO Secretary-General Javier Solana, the man who resisted his country's adherence to the alliance for so long, now deems the link so important he has brought a fellow Spaniard on board to help him spread the message back home. The newcomer is journalist Cristina Gallach Figueras, a Brussels correspondent for the Spanish news agency EFE, who has been covering EU and NATO affairs. Her role is to work alongside the existing press team, specifically targeting the Iberian press.
