NATO Ministerial Meeting: Meeting of NATO Ministers of Defence, Brussels, Belgium, 8 October 2015

Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg briefed media on the 6 October 2015 on the topics of Defence Ministers meeting of 8 October 2015. Ministers would take further steps to reinforce the Alliance’s collective defence and look at its long-term adaptation. They would discuss the implications of Russia’s military activity, as well as the measures NATO was taking to adapt to the growing challenges from the South and the East. The situation in Syria and Afghanistan would also be addressed.
