Report of an interview with the Financial Times by NATO Secretary General, Mr Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, 14 September 2008. The deal brokered by the European Union in the previous week for the withdrawal of Russian troops from Georgia was condemned by Mr de Hoop Scheffer as 'not acceptable' because it cededs too much ground to Moscow.

In addition, there is a report of the outcome of the inaugural meeting of the new NATO-Georgia Commission, Tbilisi, 15 September 2008 and a two day visit to Georgia by NATO's North Atlantic Council, 15-16 September 2008.
