Amidst the debate about NATO becoming a 'two-tier' alliance, the European Council on Foreign Relations have prepared a Fact Sheet about NATO troop deployments in Afghanistan. It compares troop commitments by individual countries with overall army sizes, and conclude that while the UK comes out on top with 4.29 % of active forces deployed, the US is lower down the list (1%) sandwiched between Luxembourg (1% also) and the Czech Republic (1.04%). |
