National drug strategies

The EMCDDA has been studying the drug strategies in the different European countries. The final report of this analysis 'Strategies and coordination in the field of drugs in the European Union' was published in December 2002. It contains details for each country on coordination and partnership, targets and priorities, information and research, assessment and evaluation. The study has been carried out by interviewing those responsible in government and analysing official documents. The key findings summarise the findings of the full report (674KB). The country profiles can also be accessed separately: Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Spain, France, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Austria, Portugal, Finland, Sweden, United Kingdom (updated January 2003), Norway. The profiles will be updated on an ongoing basis.
