Following a series of meetings to strengthen Franco-German industrial cooperation, held in Paris in March 2003, the French Minister for Industry, Nicole Fontaine and her German counterpart, Mr Georg-Wilhelm Adamowitsch, Secretary of State at the Federal Ministry of Economy and Employment, issued a joint declaration regarding a new approach to industrial policy at a European level.
