Mixed emotions on Women’s Day in Eastern Europe

The EurActiv network writes about how International Women's Day, which is on the 8 March, is being noted in the countries of Eastern and Central Europe. In some countries it is still associated with the old official Communist celebrations, with faded red cloves and drunken men 'celebrating' Women's Day. However, chnages are happening in the perception of the day.
