Consumer Information Institute for the UK:
The UK Representation of the European Commission and the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux (NACAB) have announced an initiative to boost consumer information and advice services in the UK. As part of the existing EU-wide programme of supporting a network of consumer information centres (called 'euroguichets' in the Commission Press Release announcing the Institute), NACAB will be given a grant of £112,000 to strengthen training, information and support on consumer issues to the network of more than 1,800 CAB outlets throughout the UK. The aim of the euroguichets is to provide information and advice on consumer rights under the Single European Market as well as domestic law.
