The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), on 6 June 2012, published a scientific opinion on human exposure through the diet to a diverse group of mixtures known as ‘mineral oil hydrocarbons’ (MOH). Mineral oils can occur in food both as a result of contamination and from some applications in food production.
