Representatives from the MEDA countries and the European Commission, in December 2008, agreed to continue to co-operate on the establishment of new EGNOS and Galileo-based services at the final workshop of the EU-funded METIS project. Launched in July 2006 and coordinated by the GNSS Supervisory Authority (GSA), METIS has involved stakeholders and users in Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, the Palestinian Territories, Syria, Tunisia and Turkey. |
