Merkel calls coalition partners ‘unreliable’

Angela Merkel, German chancellor, raised doubts on the 18 July 2008 about the ability of her fractious grand coalition government to soldier on until general elections in 2009 when she delivered an unusually outspoken attack on her centre-left Social Democrat partners.
