Memo: TTE (Energy) Council, 7 June 2013

The 3243rd meeting of the Council of the European Union (transport, telecommunications and energy) will be held on 7 June 2013 in Luxembourg. The meeting will start with the presentation of the progress report on the proposed Directive relating to the quality of petrol and diesel fuels and on the promotion of the use of energy from renewable sources. Subsequently, the Council will adopt Council Conclusions on “Making the Internal Energy Market work', in light of the European Council of 22 May which focused on Energy. This will be followed by a policy debate on the Commission’s Communication on “Energy Technologies and Innovation”. Afterwards the Presidency and the Commission will provide information on issues relating to International Relations in the field of energy. Finally, under AOB, the Lithuanian delegation will provide information on its work programme as incoming Presidency.
