Memo: Montenegro: Role of opposition in tackling current challenges

Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighbourhood Policy, Štefan Füle, met with the Chairman of the "Positive Montenegro" party, Darko Pajović, in Brussels on 30 May 2013.

Their meeting focused on recent developments in the country, current challenges for the political system and institutions and the role of the opposition in tackling them. They also discussed the process of accession negotiations, particularly in the area of the rule of law. Commissioner Füle stressed the importance of maintaining momentum in the implementation of the necessary reforms.
