The results and potential of some of the most innovative and exciting medical research projects funded by the EU were showcased during the week of 21 May 2010 at the Innovation in Healthcare conference in Brussels. The organisers of four of these presented their projects in the Berlaymont press room. This is part of Commissioner Geoghegan-Quinn's initiative to communicate more proactively on the practical benefits EU research is bringing to the EU's Europe 2020 Strategy, in terms of improved quality of life and as a key driver of economic growth and high quality jobs.
