On 30 July 2007, the European Commission approved a Social Infrastructure Operational Programme for Hungary covering the period 2007-13. The Programme involves Community support for six regions of Hungary under the Convergence Objective, namely the Western Transdanubia, Central Transdanubia, South Transdanubia, North Hungary, North Great Plain and South Great Plain regions. The total budget of the Programme is approximately €2.3 million and includes Community investment through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of some €1.95 million (approximately 7.7% of the total EU money invested in Hungary under the Cohesion Policy for 2007-13). |
