Preview of a conference to take place in Warsaw on 13 February 2006 under the title 'Research and Innovation - an Opportunity for Convergence Regions'. Participants were to look at the role of convergence regions (regions eligible for funding to support development) in the EU’s research programme and also at how these funds could be used to develop research and innovation within that region. This Memo gives some examples where the Structural Funds are already being used in this way. |
