Memo: End of negotiations on the 2014-2020 budget

In a statement on 19 June 2013, Janusz Lewandowski, Commissioner for Financial Programming and Budget confirmed that the Irish Presidency, the European parliament's negotiators and the European Commission have concluded the negotiations on the 2014-2020 financial period.

The package will now be submitted to both the Council and the European Parliament.

Acording to the EUObserver from the 20 June 2013 a tentative agreement on the EU's long term budget (2014-2020) has been thrown into doubt less than 12 hours after it was supposedly agreed.
