Memo: Antitrust: European Commission carries out inspections in paper envelope industry

The European Commission can confirm that on 14 September 2010 Commission officials carried out unannounced inspections at the premises of several European manufacturers of paper envelopes in France, Denmark, Spain and Sweden. The Commission has reasons to believe that the manufacturers concerned may have, amongst others, coordinated price increases and allocated customers on several European markets.
