Memo: 20 years on – Standards and single market made easy

Memo takes a look at the New Approach to technical harmonisation 20 years after its inception within the framework of the Single Market programme. The Directives in question have the dual purpose of ensuring the free movement of goods through technical harmonisation of entire product sectors, and of guaranteeing a high level of protection of public interest.
