NATO Foreign Ministers started two days of talks on 6 December 2016, focused on NATO’s adaptation to current security challenges. The agenda included the following topics:

+ Agreement on a set of 40 proposals to boost cooperation between NATO and the European Union, including on so-called ‘hybrid’ threats, boosting cyber defence and working together at sea;

+ Discussion on the Alliance's efforts to project stability beyond its borders;

+ Meeting with Afghanistan's Foreign Minister;

+ Meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission with the country's Foreign Minister.
