The main results from statistics available on maritime transport of goods and passengers are presented. Gross weight of goods handled in European ports are presented by country and for the main ports. Data are broken down by type of cargo, by destination (national, intra-EU, extra-EU) and by type of vessel. Passengers embarked and disembarked in European ports are presented by country and for the main ports.
