Malta’s Tonio Borg appointed EU Health Commissioner

The Council of the European Union appointed on the 28 November 2012 with the President of the Commission, José Manuel Durăo Barroso, and in accordance with article 246 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the EU Tonio Borg as new Commissioner for Health and Consumer affairs for the remainder of the current term of office of the European Commission until 31 October 2014.
