Malmström pushes TTIP in Paris

At a debate held in Paris in December 2014, EU Commissioner for Trade Cecilia Malmström considered the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) to represent an opportunity to create more jobs, investment and economic growth, benefiting European citizens.

EU leaders gave negotiators until the end of 2015 to conclude talks on a trade deal with the United States, according to a joint statement following the European Council held on 18-19 December 2014.
