Main trends in the recent case law of the EU Court of Justice and the European Court of Human Rights in the field of fundamental rights

The aim of this study is to offer an overview of the case law of the Luxembourg and Strasbourg Courts regarding fundamental rights from 2010 to 2011. The study identifies the main trends and fields of conflict and focuses on the role played by the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union after the entry into force of the Lisbon Treaty. Furthermore, the study examines the nature and intensity of cross-references between both Courts.
