All candidate countries were to submit fiscal notifications to the Commission services by 1 March 2004 , in accordance with the commitments taken in the framework of the pre-accession fiscal surveillance procedure. This notification exercise is the fourth produced by the candidate countries after the 2001, 2002 and 2003 exercises. Note, this report cover Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey. Previous reports covered the countries which joined the EU on 1 May 2004. |
