Lords reject proposals to test chemicals on animals

A report, 'Reducing the risk regulating industrial chemicals', published on 12 March 2002 by the (UK) House of Lords Select Committee on the European Union, calls on the UK Government to reject European Union proposals to use 12 million animals to check the safety of 30,000 chemicals in everyday use.
