London to audit relations with Brussels

Preview and reports of a speech by United Kingdom Foreign Secretary William Hague on Britain's relations with the European Union given in Berlin on the 23 October 2012.

He warned that decision-making in the EU must flow back to national parliaments and that 'public disillusionment with the EU in Britain is the deepest it has ever been' and that this needed to change.

On the same day the UK's Foreign Office day set out government plans for 32 reports on different aspects of Britain’s EU membership to be issued betwen summer 2013 and 2015.
