Lebanon conflict gives Syria chance to end isolation

The conflict in Lebanon is offering Syria a rare opportunity to break out of its international isolation, as some European governments such as the Spanish, German and Italian start looking to Damascus to help resolve the crisis. France and the UK oppose this happening.
