Leaders to insist on EU treaty deadline

Article reports that European Union leaders are expected to advise Giscard d'Estaing, Chair of the Convention on the Future of Europe, that the Convention must complete its work on schedule, by the end of June 2003. They want to hold a special summit to discuss the proposed new EU treaty at the end of the Greek Presidency of the European Union (this ends on 30 June 2003).
