Labour market issues relating to 2005 EU Accession Treaty

The Irish Government, in the summer of 2012, undertook a review of policy in the area relating to restrictions on Bulgarian and Romanian access to the Irish labour market and carried out an assessment of the possible impact of removing these restrictions. As a result of the review, the Government decided to bring forward the transition date for access to the labour market for Bulgarian and Romanian nationals.
