Kinnock accused of gagging accountant

The European Commission has been accused of orchestrating a cover-up and attempting to 'gag' its former chief accountant against going public with allegations of lax accounting controls. Conservative MEPs called for an investigation into claims by Marta Andreasen that the Commission's accounting system is so flawed that it is vulnerable to fraud and abuse.
