Kiev’s choice – EU or Russia?

Ukraine finds itself caught between the gravitational pulls of Moscow and the EU.

President Viktor Yanukovich seems to favour seeing what he can get from each side. But both the EU and Russia are now proposing much deeper integration with Ukraine. Eventually it will have to make a choice.
