Jourová could be held hostage, Czech MEPs say

Czech Commissioner-designate Vera Jourova, assigned the portfolio of Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality, had her hearing in front of the Internal Market, Legal Affairs, Justice, Gender equality committees of the European Parliament on the 1 October 2014.

Delays in the confirmation of Mrs Jourova might be connected, according to Czech MEPs, more to parliamentary infighting, and to her nationality, than to her performance during the interview.
