EurActiv reported in February 2015 on criticism from Jewish associations to a new anti-semitism commission set up by Germany's Internal Affairs Ministry, due to the absence of any jewish member in that same commission.

A spokeswoman from the Ministry told the press that the question of religious affiliation of the experts on the commission was not a criterion in the selection process. However, she added that the commission would listen to and invite various Jewish groups during the fact-finding process.
