The European Court of First Instance ruled on 13 January 2004 to reduce the fine imposed by the European Commission in 2000 on JCB Services, the UK's largest construction equipment maker. The Commission found that JCB had tried to stop customers buying machines at lower prices in countries other than their own. JCB is considering extending the legal fight to clear its name.
