Iran ‘agrees’ to key nuclear demands

Diplomats reported on 21 October 2003 that Iran has agreed to sign up to tougher United Nations inspections of its nuclear facilities and suspend enrichment of uranium. The Foreign Ministers of Britain, France and Germany met with President Mohamed Khatami of Iran on 21 October 2003 to seek an end to a dispute over Iran's nuclear programme.
