The European Union's High Representative for Foreign Policy published a declaration on 16 May 2017 to mark the International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, celebrated on the following day.

The declaration reiterates the European Union's strong commitment to the equality and dignity of all human beings irrespective of their sexual orientation and gender identity.
