Abstract:This study provides an overview of the status of international climate negotiations and issues at stake at the COP28 climate change conference, which will take place in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) from 30 November to 12 December 2023. It also addresses the current implementation of the Paris Agreement, the climate policies of key Parties and the stakeholders in the negotiations. The COP28 is organised under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) which is the international framework for addressing the mitigation of climate change, the adaptation to a changing climate, loss and damage related to climate change and the support given to developing countries. |
