On 8 May 2017 official representatives from Melbourne, Adelaide, Canberra and Hobart and their twin European Union cities met for the launch of the European Union's 'World Cities' project. 'World Cities' pairs European with non-European cities to exchange cutting-edge urban development ideas and has twinned Melbourne with Hamburg (Germany), Canberra with Prague (Czech Republic), Adelaide with Manchester (United Kingdom) and Hobart with Katowice (Poland). |
