Informal meeting of employment, social policy and health ministers, 16 July 2015

An informal meeting of the Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities ministers of the European Union took place in Luxembourg on 16 July 2015. The meeting focused on the following topics:

+ the social dimension of the EU and its relevance with the EU's governance framework;

+ Youth employment and the need to strengthen the Youth Guarantee scheme;

+ Vocational training in the Maghreb countries;

+ Changes in the labour market and challenges for men and women.

Note: Each Council presidency organises informal meetings of ministers to discuss initiatives related to a particular topic. These meetings occur as an informal complement to the official Council meetings organised by the Council of the European Union and chaired by the Council presidency.
