In France, desperately seeking Tsipras

Politico published a feature on 22 July 2015 regarding the political situation in France ahead of the presidential race taking place in 2017.

Following the support Greece's prime minister Alexis Tsipras gathered in France over his confrontational attitude towards the European Union, many from the French left to the right sought to learn how to emulate such success for their own electoral benefit.

French president François Hollande was seen as one of the very few allies of Greece during the negotiations that led to a new bailout agreement in July 2015.
