Implementation of the Directive on the placing on the market of pyrotechnic artilces. Response to consultation on draft regulations

This document is the response of the UK Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) to the consultation conducted between 4 August and 27 October 2009 on the draft regulations for the implementation of the European Directive on the placing on the market of pyrotechnic articles (Directive 2007/23/EC). The Directive deals with the harmonisation of standards and the safety of pyrotechnic articles placed on the market throughout the European Union. The Directive covers fireworks, theatrical pyrotechnics, and other pyrotechnic articles which include car air-bag detonators and restraint systems, and shroud cutters.
