The Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) released a series of features under the series title 'No Deal' Fear-checker in August and September 2018. The IEA said that the aim of the series was to help separate theoretical risks from reality as the UK prepared to leave the EU - Project Fear from Project Fact. Each Briefing looked at a particular warning about the impact of leaving the EU without a deal, assessed the problem, and outlined what can be done to fix it.

They came partly in response to warnings from a range of organisations and commentators about the consequences of the dangers of a 'No deal' Brexit and the publication by the UK government in August-September 2018 of the Collection Technical Notices: Contingency Plans for a No deal Brexit. How to prepare if the UK leaves the EU with no deal.

The Briefings were as follows:

+ No.0, 22.08.18: Medical provisions post-Brexit [Medicine]
+ No.1, 27.08.18: Planes won't fly? [Aviation]
+ No.2, 27.08.18: Mobile phone bills will soar [Roaming charges]
