Iceland feels heat after years of growth

The Iceland Chamber of Commerce published a new report on the Icelandic financial sector at a conference held in London, 21 November 2007. The report is called 'The Internationalisation of Iceland’s Financial Sector'. In the report the authors analyse the extent of economic imbalances in Iceland and the potential effect on the financial system, as well as the development of Iceland’s financial sector since February 2006.

The Iceland Chamber of Commerce hopes that the reports will help shed a light on the uniqueness of Iceland’s financial system and the economy as a whole. The publication is a part of the Chambers effort to strengthen information flow and enhance transparency of the Icelandic economy in an international context.
