Article reported that the Hungarian state prosecution office was investigating claims in July 2012 that a former Hungarian Nazi implicated in the murder of thousands of Jews, Laszo Csatary, was living in the country.

The revelation came amid growing concern about the rise of extreme right organisations in Hungary and the rehabilitation of anti-Semitic and extreme right figures from the 1930s and 40s, which saw the country allied to Nazi Germany.

Laszlo Csatary was arrested in Budapest on the 18 July 2012.
